Blog Tome (Links)

Blog Tome

A lot of people have been linking to Barking Space. I don’t have a problem with this. However, I do feel weird that I don’t have these people linked to me.

I could put them along my side bar (in the Blog Links section) but this could become the world’s longest link list.

I’ve seen sites with a lot of links, and it’s a little bit tough to fit descriptions for the links, so the solution is to have this entry permanently embedded in the side. It allows a larger number of Blogs to be posted with the blog tagline and description. It will be in alphabetical order, and in a constant state of update.

Aid Jay and Hay
Hez is awesome. I met her though a mutual friend. Her and her family are top notch. You will always feel comfortable around them. Hez has ventured into blogging and will probably write some excellent stuff, as she is quite the thinker. Pay attention to her page! She’s also a marvelous singer with the voice of an angel. MSN – RSS

Amazing Amanda
Amanda is my cousin-in-law. She’s pretty cool. She’s the one that got me started on this whole blogging kick, so you can thank her, or you can shake your fist at the sky and yell out her name. Although, I think if you did that latter thing, people would think you’re crazy. Her site is just a little journal she updates from time to time. MSN – RSS

Elbie at Trig dot Net
Elbie is a friend I met in University. The first thing he did when I was introduced to him is to ask me if I wanted to see a cool trick. I said yes. He immediately laid down on the floor, poured water on his eyes, and made them bubble by blowing air through his tear ducts. Elbie is exceedingly intelligent, likes to climb, and updates his Blog with his adventures occasionally. Blosxom

The Ephemeral Pond
I met this guy a few years ago. He has the same twisted sense of humour that I do, and is a great friend. We hang out once in a while, and when we do you’d best be ready for a crazy time! On the flip side, he’s also quite intelligent, and not too many people know as much about the wilderness as he does. Truly a 90 proof naturalist. He also has a heart of gold, and will go out of his way for his friends. I am proud to be associated with him. His blog is an honest mixture of ranting and nature observation. Check it out! MSN - RSS

Further Away
Vee is a great gal. I met her on orkut, a social circle expander. A lot of what she writes is in Portuguese, so have your translators ready. But she is exceptional at writing fiction, and is equally talented behind the camera. Check out some of her photos. You can see them from her profile. Livejournal – RSS

G

Greeneyedcat
Cat is a friend of mine that I met at work. She is one of the most giving and generous people on Earth. She’s also a smart cookie, and hot stuff to boot! She has a lot of interesting things to say on her Blog, and will throw in the occasional joke or quiz to make life more bearable. Be sure to read her article on racism! MSN - RSS

A fellow Canadian from Ontario, Patrick has a pretty nice Blog. He is very candid, and is not afraid to talk about his own feelings. A lot of his articles are well written, and deal with everyday life, but in an entertaining way. MSN - RSS

Kelly is from Canada. She moved to Connecticut. She’s a great writer, proudly Canadian and thoughtful. This blog is about finding herself in terms of her writing. She’s on the right track. Maybe you can give her a visit and give her some inspiration? I know she would do the same for you. MSN - RSS

The Inner Sanctum
This is my brother Ryan’s blog. He’s eight years younger than I am, and yet sometimes I think he’s got the wisdom of someone older than me. He’s an intelligent guy with a good head on his shoulders. He is an anime nut (like me) and has decided to join the blogging masses. Check out his page. He’s always got something interesting to say. MSN - RSS

I’m Not a Girl, Not Yet a Wino
Kris is DC’s answer to awesome. She’s a great person and a wonderful friend. She is versatile. She can be a witty conversationalist, a biting critic (of evil, of course), a hilarious drinking buddy, the list is endless, really. Her blog is honest and entertaining. You should check it out because she has a great writing style, and is damned funny in a very subtle way. Besides, with a URL like that, who wouldn’t want to visit? Blogger - RSS

Life In the Dating Lane
I got turned onto Paula’s page from the What’s Your Story? (a hub site that features a new set of Spaces pages every week or so). Paula’s space is supposed to be about her life in the dating circuit. However, she writes about much more. She’s very intelligent and funny, and I think you would do well to read her articles. A lot of thought goes into them. MSN – RSS

little fish, big pond
Patresa is a school psychologist from Iowa. She writes about a lot of different topics and has the added advantage of being able to analyze herself (and others). It doesn’t come off as patronizing though, like some other psychologist writers. MSN - RSS

M

Miranda’s Journal
I’ve grown to know Miranda relatively well since we started visiting each other’s blogs. She is a really great person. Her blog is all about what goes through her head everyday, presented honestly and with her quirky sense of humour. Fun to read, because you can get wrapped up in what might seem to be a typical day in the life of a stranger. She’s funny that way. Livejournal - RSS

Nat’s a great gal that I met when she was visiting here from England. She is smart, and has a great sense of humour. She’s a deep thinker, and will engage in all kinds of philosophical discussion. She’s also a lot of fun, and I would suggest you read her words. They are gold. MSN – RSS

Heather is a wonderful writer. She is witty and quick and I had the pleasure of meeting her on a trip down to DC. You can read about her adventures and be guaranteed to run the gamut of emotion as you do so. She has a wry sense of humour and is gifted with the pen. Or the keyboard. Blogger – RSS

Moveable Type - RSS

Ratspeak
Just a rat is a friend of Reay’s. Coincidentally, he was one of my favourite frosh leaders in University. It was an interesting day when we figured out that we were all connected. He’s a very intelligent guy with a flair for debate. He’s well spoken, and his thoughts are well translated to type. The Rat encourages you to think, so you will find your mind wandering down some dusty hallways that you didn’t think you would be visiting any time soon. Evocative. Passionate. Heed his words. Leave comments. Blogger - RSS

Reay Jespersen
Reay and I met due to the fact that we lived in the same house. He in the basement, and my wife and I in the upper floors. Reay and I figured out early on that we had some similar likes (comics, computer games, making fun of people) which made a distinct clicking noise upon discovery. Reay is an aspiring writer. His stories are always well penned, and well thought out. Reay is also very modest, and will undoubtedly take a hit out on me for writing this. His rants section is hilarious. Like Shatton, he is honest. It is very apparent in what you see on his page. WordPress – RSS

The Reena/Princess Diaries
Reena is another friend of Courtney. She’s a great person and is crazy about her friends. She’s sweet, and is also quite chatty on her blog when the mood takes her. Go check it out. The problem is that you might have to become an MSN friend with her before you get permission to look. But it’s worth it! WordPress – RSS

*~¤Ø¤~*SeXy NuRse BeXy*~¤Ø¤~*
Becky is a friend of Linette. She’s a nurse from Moo-U town. She’s funny and is incredibly dedicated to her craft. Inspiringly so. We’re talking heart of gold, folks. Her blog is just a bit of her life a piece at a time. Take a gander! MSN – RSS

Shaun Hatton
I met Shaun last year. Even though it’s only been a short amount of time, he has become one of my greatest friends. He’s not afraid to say what he thinks, and he knows more about Star Wars than anyone I know. Except maybe C3P0 (but I think he’s a lying bastard). Shaun and I met online first, through multiple e-mail exchanges with Reay and friends. We eventually ended up playing online games, and then we finally met (at a New Year’s Party that we invited him to before even meeting him!). The rest, as they say, is history. Shaun has a great honest quality to his writing, and his posts are always very meaningful. He doesn’t post every day, but when he does, you’re in for a treat! Oh yes. Make sure you have Firefox. It’s much better than the alternatives. Why don’t you get a key then? WordPress - RSS

The Shellie
I met Shellie on Orkut, a friend-building site. She’s from Boston, and is a rabid sports nut. She’s passionate about her teams, and this is very contagious. I found myself caring about baseball scores for the first time in a while. She’s also as sweet as Rappi Pie. Shellie has a heart of gold and this finds its way into her writing. She has a really nice outlook on life, and you can’t help but smile at what she writes. Feel good Blog of the year? Maybe! MSN – RSS

Sherrie

I met Sherrie at a charity photo exhibition. It wasn’t run that well, but we had a good time anyawy. We clicked because we each have a similar odd sense of humour. Sherrie is a spectacular photographer. Her images are excellent. She has some posted on her blog (but these are just her travel ones). You definitely need to see her work. MSN - RSS

Silvermunky
I met Shazz on Orkut, a friend-building site. She’s a fellow Ontarian who is a little on the crazy side. She’s sweet though, and her blog is very young and honest. You will find her blog is a semi-regular update of her life. This isn’t so bad, because it is entertaining. Shazz has a certain way with words that will leave you waiting for the next entry. Xanga

Thesis Writing is Hell
Beth is a friend from high school. She’s a science-type. She’s one of those all-around awesome people who makes the world a better place. Her blog is about her everydays, the fun, the not-so-fun, all told with her witty writing. Go and check her out! Blogger - RSS

This is My Blog - Like It or Lump It
I met Courtney through a friend of mine. She’s many things. Traveller, friend, all-around ass-kicker. Her space is a lot of fun, especially the pictures of all of her crazy antics (not to mention her friends). Thoughts and everyday life posted with a warm tone. A lot of fun. You might find yourself commenting more than you thought! Blogger – RSS

Touch You Last
Dave is a friend of mine from high school. He started blogging at the beginning of 2004, and encouraged me to do the same by just mentioning he was doing something cool. Everyone needs a friend like Dave. Incidentally, he is from Ottawa and is one hell of a writer. His words will make you think, laugh, and sometimes wet yourself. So it is heavily advised that you wear some kind of diaper-like garment when you go here. Blogger – RSS

U

Unqualified Expert
I met Jeremy through Reay. He is funny, intelligent and unapologetically brutal in his delivery of honest opinion on social trends, politics, and pillow fighting. I will guarantee that you will find yourself laughing your head off at some of the things he has to say. Blogger – RSS

V

The Vermillion Border
Head Game tells the story of her life. She also writes some poetry. All of this is done with what can only be described as electronic grace. I try to visit her site as frequently as i can, because she is entertaining and thought-provoking. MSN – RSS

Veritas Lux Mea
James is pretty cool. I met him through the haiku request page. He’s quite a gifted poet in his own right. You should check out his page. One of those folks who can be deep without being pretentious. He’s also fun just to hang around with. MSN – RSS

Videogamey
This site is great. It’s full of informative information for pretty much any video game platform you can think of, and the guys that run it are hilarious. A definite visit is in order, as their content isn’t just for gamers, but for thinkers. WordPress - RSS

Where in the World is Isha Tan?
I met Isha through a friend of mine. We hung out a few times, and then she attended our infamous annual interior camping trip. She fit with the group perfectly.
